Nar Phu Valley trek is a remote and non touristy trek in Nepal taking you to the beautiful but hidden Nar and Phu Villages forking away from the Annapurna circuit. Very few westerners have trekked in the area.  The Nar Phu valleys combines views of high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, gompas and two remote Tibetan villages (Nar & Phu). After an exploration through Nar and Phu village we trek back to the Annapurna trail to continue our trek through adventurous Thorung La pass, the holy site of Muktinath and finally to Jomsom to fly to Pokhara.

We start in Kathmandu and drive towards Besisahar followed by Syange, which is the starting point of our trek. We then ascend gradually towards Phu and Nar villages passing the most spectacular views of snow capped mountains along ancient monasteries. We have a chance of exploring Tibetan Buddhism culture and tradition. Our highest point, the Kangla pass at an altitude of 5322 meters alows us to experience the majestic views of the mountains.

We will be visiting the famous pilgrimage site Muktinath temple which carries religious importance for Hinduism and Buddhism. Then we will trek further towards kagbeni along the Kali Gandaki River to arrive at Jomsom from where we will board a flight towards Pokhara, exploring the area before heading back to Kathmandu.

Nar phu valley, an off beatean path trek in Nepal requires good level of physical fitness and passion towards trekking and walking. Join Nar phu valley trek with Treks & Tiaras for the ultimate experience of trekking in remote areas of Nepal.
Please note this trek is classed as STRENUOUS.

For any trek at this level, fitness is most important and you may have to improve yours before departure. Most Strenuous treks are equivalent to extended walking in mountainous terrain at home, but usually at significantly higher altitudes; climate and remoteness can also play a part. Walking days are usually between 6 to 8 hours although there may be some longer days for pass-crossing or similar. Previous trekking experience is desirable but not essential if you are confident of your physical condition.

A full kit list will be provided upon booking onto the trek.
