LANGDALE - One Day  (7-8hrs)

(Maximum 8 persons)

Meet at the National Trust, Stickle Barn car park. 

Start out walking beside Stickle Ghyll up to Stickle Tarn. Once on the plateau head out away from crowds. No specific places specified after Stickle Tarn.

Route varied according to fitness of ladies on walk and weather.

LANGDALE - Two day hike with wild camping
(Maximum 6 persons)

Meet Stickle Barn car park. Walk up to Stickle Tarn and on to plateau. Walk out on Plateau and on to Angle Tarn or Styhead Tarn for the night (depending how fast we are walking).

Day 2 walk up  to Scafell Pike and back to cars, route depending on how fast we are walking.

Alternative route over Crinkle Crags and Bowfell to same camping spot and walk over Scafell Pike second day.

Two-person tents and cookers will be provided.

You will need to supply sleeping bags and sleeping mats and have large rucksacks. Also need to bring 1 breakfast, and dinner that can be cooked on camping stove. Porridge is easiest, sachets intended for microwaves can be rehydrated with boiled water. Alternatively camping all in one breakfasts.

A packed lunch is required for both days.

Safety Considerations:
 
Before you start your walk up Snowdon, make sure you are properly prepared. The most important item is proper footwear.  Trainers are not suitable footwear for this path as it can become very slippery when wet.
