FRIENDS OF ANCHOR
Bennachie Tiara Trek

Challenge yourself to hike the peaks of Bennachie, which includes Millstone Hill, Oxen Craig, Criagshannoch and Mither Tap and enjoy fabulous sweeping views whilst raising money for FRIENDS OF ANCHOR.

Join us on the 22nd October 2017, as we start with Millstone Hill, a southern neighbour of Bennachie, after which we wil hike to the summit of Bennachie, Oxen Craig, following which we will make our way to Mither Tap, via Craigshannoch. We will head back to the Donview Carpark via Millstone Hill circuit. This route will offer a gradual transition from conifer plantations, through birchwoods, to heather hill-top and gives excellent views.

Start walk at approximately 09:00am at the Donview Car Park, Lords Throat where we aim to finish between 15:00 – 17:00 hrs

All participants to bring packed lunches & snacks for the day plus plenty of water to last the duration of the hike.

Before you start your walk, make sure you are properly prepared. The most important item is proper footwear.  Trainers are not suitable footwear for this path as it can become very slippery when wet. Kit list will be sent out.

TIARAS are a must! It is called the Tiara Trek!

So get your walking boots on, polish your tiara and lets trek!

Please note that this event involves sustained physical exertion. Prior to registering you must be satisfied that you are fit to take part in the challenge and that there are no medical conditions which would or should reasonably preclude your participation. If in doubt you must consult your Doctor.

An adult must accompany walkers under 14 years of age.  Dogs are permitted on the walk but must be on a short lead at all times.
